Rumble in the Jungle...

so...... back in my Absolution in Providence the other night.. after I had gracefully left an alliance that was, let's just say.. EPIC FAIL

In my view screen local chat window..everyone was telling me..

Local Chat > run forrest.. run.. you're KOS
Fin> whaaa? How am I KOS in Providence?

How the hell did I get on CVA's infamous KOS list... Well a little know game mechanic that I didn't know about. From what I understand, if you're in a CVA KOS Corp before you leave to an NPC corp, you retain the old corp standings.. until you get into a new neut or "blue" corp to CVA... Well, I have never really flown around Providence, kinda a little creepy if you ask me, like the Moonies (a cult for those who don't want to follow the link). But I wanted to rat in peace and get my sec standing down.

So, I'm zoom zoom zoomin around -- and I'm being chased by a ton of ships... all of sudden.. up on my viewscreen, a convo request..I hit .. "ok"

CVA Member> you're KOS!!
CVA Member > do you need an escort out of Providence?
Fin> huh? what are you talking about.. an escort?

What FIN did NOT Say -- "what is this high school? !! kill me for christ's sake.. I figure I'm dead at the next gate and just bending over..

Fin> sure.. can you take me to the nearest station?
CVA Member> sure

(we go through two camps) and I dock

Fin> why am I KOS?
CVA Member> ^^ (see above for explanation) ^^
Fin> great.. I'll just join my old corp and be neut and you won't kill me .. right?.
CVA Member> yea
Fin> Thanks

........ kill convo window...clone jump out.. leave my absolution there..join the Congo.

Truthfully, what a bunch of pansies.. kill me. bubble a gate or something and kill my shiny pimped out Absolution..That's why I think they (CVA) are slightly strange, this whole role play deal in Eve.. there is a point to it and then there is the creepy point to it. You can only take the fantasy world so long before you start asking yourself.. "am I Amarr or just a game player..".. I would prefer to think of myself as a game player. You won't see me dressing up as a Minmatar anytime soon.

So, with faction warfare, which is just a convenient way to make low sec a little more dangerous without losing your sec standing (which personally I like).. you can blast noowb ships that just so happen to be part of a corp that doesn't like Minmatar for example and then destroy them.. me likely that idea.

I think I'm going to stay in my little Congo corp for a while .. and continue my Eve journey.. run some missions, rat in 0.0.. run some deals on the market.. but in general.. take it easy. I've been bouncing around a ton lately..
